Rev. Hepler
Rev. Kathleen Hepler - Senior Minister

Rev. Kathleen Hepler has been at First Parish as the Senior Minister since 2007. Before coming to Framingham, she served UU Churches in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. She is a graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry and was a social worker before she entered the ministry. Rev. Hepler lives with her husband, Don and children Jake and Kimmie in Framingham.

Rebecca Crawford  
Acting Director of Religious Exploration
Rebecca Crawford

Rebecca Crawford has served on the Religious Exploration Council at First Parish as a member for several years. She has spent the last 15 years creating dynamic programming for youth and families in a variety of capacities, most recently at the USS Constitution Museum in Boston as the Manager of Academic and Family Programs. She holds a Masters of Arts degree in Art + Design Education from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Smith College. She serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Summit Montessori School in Framingham and on the Education Committee of the Old State House in Boston. She enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America Pack 12 in Framingham and with the Auction Committee here at First Parish (you may have seen her with an apron on there before!). She resides in Framingham with her husband Matt Crawford and their two children, William and Abigail.

Claudia Keyian Claudia Keyian - Music Director

Claudia Keyian began her work as Music Director of First Parish in January of 2015. An accomplished pianist, organist, singer, choral conductor and piano teacher, Claudia feels fortunate to make her living as a musician. Claudia attended Westminster College in New Wilmington PA, where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree, with a major in piano, minors in both organ and voice and a concentration in choral conducting. An active member of the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network (UUMN), Claudia is thrilled to serve on the UUMN’s Conference Planning Committee. Claudia lives in Salisbury, MA, with her two dogs: Tucker and Louise.

Sara Morrison Neil Sara Morrison Neil - Church Administrator/Membership Coordinator

Sara joined our staff in January, 2011. Her passion to help others and make a difference in the world has led her to work in the non-profit sector for over twenty years in volunteer management, communications, adult programming and event planning. She is responsible for administration, communications, membership, facilities management and rentals. She lives with her husband and son in Framingham and loves being a part of First Parish.

Sara has earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature at Earlham College in Indiana, and a Masters degree in Public Administration at UMass Amherst.

Dean Arvidson - Director, Children's Choir, Chimes Choir, and Adult Bells Choir.

Dean is a long time member of First Parish, and a former member of the First Parish Senior Choir.  He and his brother Doug used to direct the Children's Choir many years ago and he's been accompanying the choir under Trish Ramey's direction for several years.  The age groupings for the kids' choirs will remain as Children's Choir grades one to six, Chimes Choir - Grades four through eight, Christmas Choir grades one to twelve.

Dean is a Composer / Performer, teaches several instruments privately, and is the Pianist for Temple Beth Am's High Holy Days.  Dean started playing piano in 1962 and now plays a lot of different instruments the main focus being piano.  He is very glad to be able to continue to work with the First Parish Music Staff.

The Rev. Dr. Charles Gaines - Minister Emeritus of First Parish in Framingham

Rev. Gaines served First Parish as Minister from 1967 to 1984. In 1996, our church conferred Emeritus status on the Reverend Dr. Gaines.

The Rev. Dr. Patrick O'Neill - Minister Emeritus of First Parish in Framingham

Rev. O'Neill served First Parish as Minister from 1985 to 1996. In 2016 our church conferred Emeritus status on the Reverend Dr. O'Neill.

Carol Greve
Carol M. Greve - Director of Religious Exploration Emerita

Carol retired in 1998, after thirteen years as D.R.E. at First Parish, and served as Interim D.R.E. in 1999.
